Default 1998 Silverado 4x4 X-Cab 5.7

Hello! I have a problem I just can't figure out. My truck was running fine and I parked at store for roughly 30 minutes and came back out...truck would not start but turned over. Found out there was no fuel being delivered. Towed truck home and replaced fuel pump and relay. Ran for a few days then same thing again. Hot wired to fuel pump to get home. Fuel pump and relay are fine. I have to run a hot to grey wire feeding fuel pump for few seconds then truck will run. I have only one hot feed at the fuse block where relay is. I have been told there should be two hots which one is triggered by ignition. Also have been told the problem might be my ignition switch considering how old truck is. Any and all suggestions will help!! Thanks!!

Wow ! It sounds like you have covered all the bases... This is a puzzler
I'm assuming you haven't got a Check Engine lite come up, but have you have it scanned for faults?

Thanks! I do have a few codes but has to do with the catalyst being low because of an exhaust leak. I have not had the truck professionally scanned for faults. Being it is 16yrs old I am going to replace the ignition switch and hope that cures it. We will see! Surely has me stumped and I am pretty good at figuring out things!
