2003 Chevrolet Silverado LT l Climate control hvac
After I disconnected the battery and reconnected it, I turn on the a/c and the vents control does not work.
Compressor and blower work.
I tried selecting different vent options (floor, windshield, etc..) but it will only blow thru the windshield defrost and the dashboard (outer door window vent). No air comes out the front vents.
After I try selecting the different configurations, the display seem to go to a default mode and only displays the temp and two arrows.
I've tried resetting as suggested by other member of the forum with no luck.
-remove fuse
-remove relay
-disconnect battery (overnight)
-3 sec on/off
I've tried all that I have found.
Any other suggestions?

It actually sounds like the control itself shorted out. The default kicks in when the unit takes a ****.
Although if the battery was disconnected for any length of time, it could be the Body Control Module needs re-progamming.

I personally prefer to take it to the dealer for the programming. They punch in the vin and can program in any option you have added, such as fog lights. This also guarantees any TSB modifications have been programmed into it too!
There are guys out there that can do it, but they may have outdated data they are downloading.
