Hello to the forum. I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado 2WD with 5.3, 4L60, and extended cab. It has 94,000 miles and this has been an issue for a long time. On occasion when I start my truck, I get a jolt/clunk that actually causes the truck to rock forward against the parking pawl. It only does this when the truck sits for an undetermined amount of time but not every time I start it. This is while it is in park. Does anyone have any clues as to what is the cause of this and how to correct it?

Sounds like a trans issue. Try starting it in neutral and seeing if you get the same lurching results.
