Need help figuring out what module,etc. I need to take from donor truck (2005 GMC extended cab 1500 Silverado) to go on my 2003 Chevy extended cab 1500 Silverado... same plugs on both trucks, but apparently there's lots more that I need to swap... I replaced all 4 doors and are hooked up and wired but only power I get is for the speakers.. I see place for 'door locks' on side fuse panel, but seems to be some relay and not fuse...

I don't care about clicker for remote, etc... just interested in getting windows to go up and down and for me to lock/unlock doors via door switches and with exterior key.. which I need to swap but windows are down and cannot get to all 3 nuts to swap driver's side handle...

Thanks for any info you can give me.. electrical stuff is my 'achilles' ... O.

 

I did it in an older model and I just had to install the circuit breaker into the empty spot in the fuse panel. I am not sure if the newer trucks require more or not. Did you put a breaker in the slot you found?

 

after looking at my buddie's 04 Tahoe, I am missing wiring where 2 door lock relays go on fuse panel on left hand side of dash, could not see anything else different than my truck's panel, so off to Oklahoma Sunday morning to go scavange that and whatever else I see of donor truck.. Will let you know how it went and if and how I get them working.. guy I bought doors from also converted a 98 and said he just plugged them in and put fuses where he had empty spots and that's all it took.. newer, as usual, are harder..

 

I can't help you except to maybe bump this a little... It's funny to see someone asking though because I was so sick of window motors dying that when I bought my truck I specifically went for roll down windows. If only they put the roller a little higher on the door...
