Code 32 EGR System Failure
Hi guys, it's been quite some time.
My CEL has been coming on the past 6 months, and, frankly, I've been ignoring it. Today, I cut my truck off, went inside, came back out two hours later, and hit the key. All it does it crank, fire, and die. Only way to get it to RUN is to mash the pedal to the floor, and crank it. Then it sputters and roars to life. Seems to run fine after.
I ran the codes, and got Code 32. I'm guessing my EGR valve is stuck open, causing this? I've noticed a few times over the past couple weeks, I've cranked it, it died, then I did it again and it was fine.
Someone else mentioned a TPS, but it idles just fine, and accelerates smoothly, at idle and under load.
Would replacing the EGR valve cure my woes?
Is there any way to "fix" it for a short while until I get the extra cash together? Been a rough few weeks.
Would it hurt to drive the truck like this?
