in my 94 silverado ext 4wd half ton i have true dual with only thrush tubes i cant really tell a big difference
some will say it robs your performance some say it helps
so i am not to sure of that
i have heard both sayings but me personally i think it helps
it may gain a small amount of horse power like 2-5
and it will help your exsuast to breath better not as much pluggin up the flow
but again im not sure i would ask some others for there opinion abotu the performance aspect on this forum
and if i find naything ill post it to let you no
You will definitely lose torque if you just open the exhaust all the way up on a otherwise stock motor. The exhaust needs to match the needs of the motor for optimal HP and Torque. I have done my share of racing and speak from experience. In the motorcycle world, which is really my area of expertise, I have done and been apart of A LOT of research. You need some backpressure trust me.

will straight pipes (no cat) with my existing muffler (cherry bomb extreme) sound the same? or is flowmaster better?

to you avoid
flowmaster mufflers are probably your best bet
and i would if your looking for that sound no cats with flow master would do the same or similar i will try to make a video with sound of what my car sounds like and then of what my truck sounds like put it on you tube but its been rainin real bad here and i spent 2 years in south korea with there 6 months out of the year monsoon season i have grown to hate rain

Well now I'm starting to regret getting the cherry bomb extreme installed

I feel like my truck would sound better and might be louder with the flowmaster.

I made a video a long time ago when I first got my muffler installed. Check it out and tell me what you think of the sound

That truck has a real nice sound - leave it alone!!!!

Cubpak - what do you have done to your car to be able to "chip" it at 70?
