Default How much to lower a Silverado

Hello all. i just picked up an 02 single cab short bed Silverado and I plan on lowering it and i was wondering what it would cost me to do so. I was thinking a 2/4 or 3/5 drop. Thanks and please spare me the "why are you lowering a truck" nonsense.

head over to Belltech's website and check them out. They are probably the best ones you can buy from. Figure out what you want from there than you will have to find a dealer that sells their stuff.

What is the best way to lower it. I would like a 2 inch drop in the back or a 1 inch in front and a 3 in the back. What is the best way to get the best ride qaulity? What about drop shocks could we go that way?

Well first off, you will want to go with a 2/4 or a 3/5. If you were to lower your truck only a little bit, in a few months you will want to go even farther. Trust me, go with a 2/4 or 3/5, you will not run into any problems. I recommend to keep ride quality, go with control arms in the front (I don't recommend spindles unless you have 4wd, because there are alot of clearence problems and premature wear on ball joints alot from what I hear back from customers) and coils are not a bad way to go, it will stiffin up the ride alot and you probably wont like it. if you want 4" in the back, go with shackles and hangers, if you want 5", you gotta go with a flip kit w/ a lifting shackle. Either way for the rear will not make you lose any ride quality what so ever (unless not installed right). So over all go with Control Arms in the front, 2", and for the rear go with shackles and hangers, 4", you will be happy how it sits, how it rides and everything, and of course throw some drop shocks on there and your set to go. Coils, Shackles, and Hangers w/ all 4 Shocks. will run you about 500$ if you want it done right. Coils and Shackles and hangers will run you about 300 w/o shocks. Mind you, you do not need to put new shocks on your truck, but if you are smart and want it done right, and dont want to sacrifice ride quality, get shocks which are the most over looked item when lowering a truck. trust me. Like a said, if you want the right recommendations, feel free to call me at work, its a lot easier to explain it over a phone then typing all this. All my contact info is above.

Hey abrichford if we put together a group buy could you hook use up?

And is there a way to lower a 2000 Sierra 4x4 without any problems or loss of ride quality

A group buy would be a little harder to configure in our system because there will probably be different people paying for different stuff. if you call me direct at work and i can set up an account for you I can work on the price. (that goes for anyone who wants to call me at work)

and yes, for the 4x4 Sierra, you will want to use spindles and a shackle and hanger kit for a 2/4, that will maintain your ride quality. I work with a guy, he is also a good friend with a 05 crew cab Z71, lowered with Torsion keys, spindles, hangers, shackles, and removed the factory block, so he has like a 4/5 drop. i dont really recommend doing that, spindles and hangers and shackles and a nice set of Belltech shocks will do you good.
