Instrument Panel Lights Not Working

I have a 99 Silverado and after messing with some things in the dash (radio/ac switches) the lights that illuminate the speedometer, ac switches, and headlights no longer come on. Any ideas as to what may be causing this would be appreciated...

This is not my truck but these are the lights that are not working. The low fuel, check engine, abs lights, etc work.

You need to look for a fuse marked "ILLUM", "DSHILLUM", or "STRILLUM". Also could be under "GAUGES". Also, check your Backup and parking lamp fuse.

I checked them and none of them were blown.

Check your dimmer switch.

Apparently for some reason the dimmer wheel other than set in the on position decided to stop working randomly. I swapped it out with another trucks switch and it works like it should. Its just weird how all the sudden it decided to quit working.
