Kicker Subs

RE: Kicker Subs
I would reccomend JL's they are the best quality for the money. Make sure that you get a good Class D amp, that will ensure that you get the best and safest sound quality for the subs that you choose. I highly reccomend that you go and talk to a GOOD sterio shop. Not Best Buy. Most of the time they don't know **** about ****.

Either that or do your homework on Crutchfield.com. They can tell you anything you want to know about speakers and stereos and help you decide what you want, help you install stuff and they send you dirsections and installation parts free when you order stuff off of them. They sent me a free amp install kit and a free stereo install kit with my CD reciever and amp!

I agree, Crutchfield is awesome, and Kicker is a good brand. I also like MTX subs. In my opinion JL's are too overpriced but they are supposed to be amazing...your choice. As far as amps go, the name brand doesnt matter as much as the power it will put out. Try to match up the sub and amp's RMS rating/ max power handling. The amp should be equal to or more than the subwoofer, otherwise you can blow the sub. I personally like the Profile California amp. The one I had worked amazingly. They are much cheaper than big name brands like Rockford or Kicker amps and they work just as good, plus they look cool.
Actually, I still have my 10" MTX sub in a sealed box and 300W Profile amp. It was in the place of the backseat in my old 98 Camaro Z28 but when I got my Silverado there was no place for the box. Now I have a new dual 10" Memphis system under the backseat and no clue what to do with my old sub. I hate to give it away because it still sounds awesome. Ive been trying to sell it for like $200 or something but no one around here is into that kinda thing (bible toters). Maybe I should wire it up and just set it on top of my backseat and seatbelt it in? Hmm...my **** would definitely thump then!

Well I live in Searcy, Arkansas which is dominated by the very christian Harding University. The school even bought all the liquor licenses around here so now this is a dry county! I like Hank jr just fine but Im usually cranking Nine Inch Nails, Slipknot, or Tool in my truck. i dont fit in very well around here lol.
