RE: long box to short box??
Well the wheels are still going to be in the same place so no. Not without cutting and shortening the chassis.... I may be wrong but that seems fairly logical to me. I know I've seen a guy who wanted to make an old chevy pickup into a short bed and he ended up just whacking off quite a bit of it past the wheels and put the butt end back on. It looked kinda stupid honestly.

yeah it would be a stupid amount of work to convert it from a long box to a short box. you would need to cut down not only the chassis, the drive shafts relocate axel carriers, everything
not even worth it. just get rid of it and start a new project. or live with your long box.
some guys minimize the look of a long box by installing one of those low profile checkerplated tool boxes. looks okay, but im a big hater of long boxes.
good luck!

They just did it on hot rod tv you cut the frame in between the front and the rear tires. You would want to cut it right so the frame will hold. Also to shorten the bed you cut out a section of the rear and put the tail light and bumper over it. If you know how to weld and do body work well then it wouldnt be that hard. Of course you would have to run new brake lines, and drive shaft. But you can not do it without cutting the frame.
