Need a power source at the fuse box
I'm hooking up an aftermarket CD changer to the AM/FM radio of my 05 Sierra. I don't want to cut or tap into any of the oem loom for now so I just ran the switched and constant hot wires over to the fuse box. Now I don't see any of the old style taps for me to plug them in to. Am I missing something? There must something provided for accessories to run off. Any suggestions TIA.

Ok, got it figured out. I haven't worked on a vehicle this new so things have changed. I went to Advance Auto and found a piggy back fuse jumper. I used the 25 amp flasher fuse outlet for the constant 12v and added a 5 amp to that. Then I used the same type of jumper for the switched 12v off the 10 amp TBC accy. I then grounded off of one of the fuse box mounting bolts. So, I'm all set and it works great. Those jumpers are pretty cool because they allow you to have two separate lines/fuses off the same block so if the short occurs upstream it doesn't take the whole line down. Pretty cool.
