i have a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 that tops out a 97 mph. ive been draging on a 1/4 mile track and i was wondering if anybody knew how to take the speed control out of a truck

 

Ya gotta use a programmer. Its not something you can just do your self by opening up the computer. The aftermarket programmers like Hypertech and Superchips will do that. But those programmers are limited. Tuners like Wheatley and Nelson's Tuning can do more. Those are not handheld. They send you a tuned ECM to install in your truck. The others like Hypertech you plug in to your truck and do it yourself, but again, they are limited. If your gonna pay 3 bills for a tune, go with Wheatley or Nelson's. Better results!!
