Default Oil Pressure/Oil Leak

I have a 94 z71. My oil pressure is really low and I have noticed that it is also leaking oil around the front of the motor (under the water pump where the oil pump would be). I would assume that these two are related but I just wanted to make sure. If it is the pump how hard is it to replace?

what were the symptoms when yours went out? Same as mine? Or did you have any leaks with it at all?

well if it's leaking externally, and from under the water pump, I would think that the issue is the timing chain cover, or oil pan gasket. Maybe crank seal?

Thanks NullHead. Is the timing chain cover a big deal to fix myself? I am moderately handy and im not opposed to tackling it...
