Default poor brake pedal

i.ve got a 96 z71 extended cab, that has a poor brake pedal feel and will barely stop, i have replaced the master cylinder(new gm) and the calipers and pads(all oem) and adjusted up the rear shoes which are great, i,ve even flushed the whole system, ive drove others that dont feel this way. will rear disc brake conversion help out, if so where can i get one, or will stainless steel braided hoses help, someone help me.

just a guess........i had an 88 with this problem and finally realized that the piston was only getting so far and then hanging up and not putting out the pressure that it needed.......if you haven't checked the piston travel /it could be the problem???

sounds like sticking wheel cylinders to me, I had the same problem on a 94' chevy van. I found out that after about 10.000 miles of driving the rear brake shoes had no wear on them, the wheel cylinders were stuck in.
I just replaced the wheel cylinders and the pedal was higher and actually stopped the van.
