Default Problem with truck stalling when put in gear

Hey all. New to forum and need help. I have a 91 silverado 350 that when holding brake and put in gear will die. It starts back with no problem. I have changed plugs and wires, egr valve, fuel filter and air filter. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. No its not on. I took it to the shop and the only code that come up was the egr valve is the reason it was replaced. A little more about it it will idle all day no problem. Once it starts driving runs like a champ.

The Idle Control Motor. It will adjust for loads like electrical, A/C, put in gear.

Thanks for the advice.I changed the idle air control valve and truck runs better and seems to cut off after been idling for awile and put into gear. Seems to do fine if put in gear right after cranking.

With all the things you have changed I would look for a vacume leak. sounds like thats what it is. The intake is well known for this and coolant leaks also a bad brake booster will do the same thing.

While in park does it idle OK or does it idle high?

Then I would tend to agree with chrisbmo2000. Check for vacuum leaks.
