Default Rusted knock sensor help

Please help with any suggestions? 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 HD . I'm changing the knock sensors and #2 sensor came out but the front #1 sensor will not budge. Now the sensor is so chewed up I can not even get a socket on it . Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated .

Maybe an oil filter claw will fit around the outside diameter of the sensor?

Sorry took so long to get back . So that probably would have been a good idea if I wouldn't of broke off every piece of the sensor . The best only thing left is the stud stuck in the block with just enough aluminum on it so I can't get anything thing on it to get that sucker out . Thank you for your feed back Nullhead.... Appreciate it .

I guess it's time for a new valley pan then. That, or drill the center, heat the surrounding boss that the sensor is screwed into, then try and use an extractor.
