Default seat foam source

anyone know a source for new foam for the driver's seat on a 99 silverado? and replacement instructions? the cloth covering the seat cushion is in fine shape, and the seat back foam is fine. But the foam in the seat itself has degraded so much that the fabric is loose and the foam is shredding onto the carpet underneath.

thanks cubpak89 ... i used their website, but came up empty handed ... i'm expecting most used trucks seats in junk yards are in similar condition .... and i've found junk yards to be high priced. mine has 160k miles on it. if i can't come up with new foam, i'm thinking of taking both seats out and swapping the foam, and doing some extra padding on the passenger seat, which rarely gets used. they ought to be symmetric except for the seat belt notch. still, i'd rather pay for a proper new replacement.

i emailed rockauto, who replied promptly that they do not carry the seat foam, so I am still looking for a source for replacement foam for the seat.

I looked throw LMC too Your not gonna get a replacement foam, but they have the complete seat. Which is probably your BEST bet. Less work and you know it won't come apart on ya.
Replacing a seat foam and recovering is a lot of hard work to get it properly recovered

Ooops the 1999 - 2010 catalog doesn't seem to have seats. sorry I spoke too soon.
But I learned they finaly have a catalog for my 2007 now.
I'll have to order one

The only suggestions I have now is an UPHOLSTERER

try to find a pick and pull junkyard one that will allow you to pull the seat yourself. i went to a local junkyard and my seat was just fine that i picked up out of a 94 actually was better then ones online on craigslist or any other place to buy
also talk to you local autobody guy about where he or she gets there parts from also check around online or people parting vehicals out
i have found many parts through both of those seggestions
