Default Best thing to add next?

2005 Ext. Cab LT 2wd. 5.3 - K&N FIPK 57, dumped thrush muffler under bed b4 rear tire

What is a good add on or add-ons from this point on? I'm leaning toward fuel economy and horsepower.

How does the thrush sound? I've been looking at them and have been tempted. Which thrush do you have? I say don't do headers. I've always lost bottom end power from them and you get more mpg from bottom end power since you don't have to step on the gas as hard. Usually you can't get horsepower and mpg at the same time. Just something about feeling that extra power that makes your foot a little heavier.

Side thought: Just put a turbo on it. Who cares about mpg? Gas prices are down anyway.

Its the Welded Thrush, it sounds like any flowmaster i've heard on the street. Really good that is. I like it out of site.
