Default transmission cooler??

I'm not sure which transmission cooler would be best for my truck.
Anyone have any suggestion.
I was thinking about getting this one:
B&M 70298 Hi Tek Cooling System Transmission Oil Cooler
It's for a 2001 Chevy Silverado 4x4 5.3L
I alsonotice my transmission temperature going up now that it's gettingclose to summer, especially with the A/C running. Is this normal??

Yeah that looks like a good cooler (What type of truck do you have?). B&M is a nice and fairly priced brand. You can never go wrong with keeping things cool. Your temp. will go up a littlein the summer but you should expect that with it getting hotter. But if it is changing drasticaly then you should probably get your tranny serviced.(make sure they flush the gear box).

Check out this website. Should help you out with what you are looking for and they are based out of Cali. if I remember right.

Thanks for the infor.
Yeah, I do notice a drastic change. Temperature would reach 200 degree in a shorttime periodwhile driving.
I think I do need to service my transmission.
Any recommend type of transmission oil??

I'd go with Royal Purple. A little up there in price but well worth it.

And remember to make sure they flush the gear box. If they don't do this then you will just be wasting your time because all that old fluid kept in the gear box will just mix with the new fluid.

You can also get a deep pan with the cooling fins or tubes on it. Holds more fluid, too.
