Question Straight 6 engine swap questions

Hey to the Chevy Family,
Well, I'm at a standstill in my straight 6, 250 engine swap for my 2WD 1980 stickshift, the head cracked in the original. Since it has been kinda tough finding good motors, I found a re-built '68 Camaro motor and began the swap. As with these types of jobs, I had to take off various parts off the original and install them on the camaro motor. Everything was going smooth until it came to the transmission area. The camaro motor has a smaller diameter flexplate and I bought a clutch set for the truck motor and found that the original flywheel is larger and won't clear the camaro starter. My next step was using the truck starter which seems to work with the truck flywheel, but the mounting of the truck starter is different on the camaro motor. To make things more interesting, I have a flywheel from '68 chevelle that is the same diameter as the camaro flexplate. So, I am wanting to know if I should try and find a starter with the correct mounting holes ,(original is straight versus the camaro which is diagonal) or get a clutch set for the chevelle flywheel and use the camaro starter.

Why not use the camaro starter, fly wheel and transmission?

Default straight 6 swap

Yeah, that would probably work, but I bought the motor only, so I've thoght about changing the starter covers too, as I wrote before, the Camaro motor came with a auto flex plate, 13" from tooth to tooth and the truck flywheel is about 14.25" from tooth to tooth. Been also trying to find the Camaro clutch set to use with the chevelle flywheel, that's been kinda hard to find now. So, until the weather gets a little better, have to do some research on what fits what, cross referencing, I guess, any ideas on a website that might help ? Did want to say thanks for the reply...hope you got something nice for Christmas....me, guess I didn't do as good, just a bigger bag of coal than last year.
