i have a 1978 dodge 100 4x4...and the battery will not stayed charged (new battery) i will jump the truck and it will run fine but if i cut it off it just clicks when i try to start it again. I have replaced the alternator and voltage regulator the other day with out any luck. i have put a meter on the alternator and it says im putting out 13v but its not getting to the battery.
so i was wondering what you guys might think is my problem.

With the truck turned off. Disconnect the positive cable from the battery and use a multimeter between the cable and the positive post to see if there is a draw on your battery
