What truck would be the better choice? (not based on preference but on reliability and value)

I am choosing whether to buy a either

- 1992 Ford F-150 flare-side, 302 v8 ext cab, short box or

- 1997 Dodge power Ram 2500 slt Laramie, ext cab, long box with the 5.9 360

As a first truck, and being a big guy (6'6 300lbs) which would suit me better?

First off, im not really doing any long driving maybe once in a while, but not often. no this will not be used to haul or tow anything. I do plan on raising it a few inches, but not much. Im hoping for some 32-36'' tires eventually.

anything i missed, feel free to ask.

AND NO, im not just looking for an answer, im looking for opinions. i like them both, but i was wondering what you guys like/hate about both of them?

brother trust me when i tell you to go with the 92. somethin happened to trucks in the mid 90's where they had all sorts of problems. my truck was a disaster. finally sold it to my barber

Not enough info. I can't tell what truck is better just by year and engine. I'd have to look at them and see what one is better, by how the engine and transmission sounded and things like that.

 

I'm saving my pennies to get another truck or two and I have a few questions.. I was looking at the ERevo brushless,

i'm going back and forth between a silverado or upgrading to a sierra. anyone got any pointers to help?
