Default "How-to" posting guidelines

This section is for posting procedures or directions for a modification, fix, or diagnosis to a vehicle. This forum is NOT for asking questions. If you have a question about a particular model, please post it in the specified area.

1. Posting must be detailed and in a step-by-step format. Write the instructions as if you are attempting this for the first time and have nothing to go by other than the words on a computer screen.

2. If you feel so contrived and have the computer/technical know-how to do so, post up some pics! Step-by-step of course, but pictures are always extremely helpful when fixing something. It would be even better if you could embed them in the post so that they are directly correlative to the step they go with.

3. Include any mistakes that you made... VERY IMPORTANT. That way we will be even less likely to make the same mistakes. Don't be embarrassed, it's better for others to learn from your mistake than to have them make the same one.

That's it. Next time you start a project, think of us, and all the other members who may be considering the same project, but just don't know how. Share your experiences and wisdom gained through your project. Have fun!

Kevin
