Default Report: Ford may shift truck plants to cars

"...Ford plans to close the St. Paul plant next year, and Sen. Norm Coleman spoke with Ford officials last week to urge them to consider keeping it open. "...In its story this morning, the News said converting a factory to flexible manufacturing can take up to six months and cost $250 million or more. The St. Paul plant is more than 80 years old, and it is the only remaining plant that makes the Ranger for the U.S. market..."
