Im now on my second f350 diesel. I have a 2011 f350 with the 6.7 diesel. I would like to know what others have done to increase hp. I am not bill gates and have small dollars to spend but maybe there are effective solutions that don't cost alot

I guess I should rephrase, I am traveling long distance with loads, I'm looking for upgrades to increase fuel efficiency. I want to start with the intake, I have heard this can help but have no idea of which one is best. K&N or others. Any increases would be great. I'm good with mechanical skills just lack knowledge in the diesel arena. I love my truck, it's a 2011 f350 crew cab. Love the power I have a diablo power puck for it but didn't notice much change.

 

It's difficult to get one without sacrificing the other. To get horsepower you with sacrifice fuel economy.
But for some better fuel economy you may performance. You can get better fuel mpg and still have plenty of pulling power to climb those hills.

For better fuel economy it is recommended to live the truck as stock and use a good programmer.

But be aware, as soon as you do this... your warranty is done

 

IF you install a CAI and take the truck in for ANY kind of engine/emission warranty issue expect to take some flack for that CAI. The reusable gauze filter debate has been on going for YEARS.

What kind of mileage are you experiencing under what conditions?
Is yours a SRW or DRW?

It may be getting normal MPG already.

 

Cheap way to get more power would be cold air intake , exhaust , programmer would definitely wake up the truck.
