I have already searched myself with no luck. Need to know if on a F-350 2001 7.3 liter deisel motor......can you pull a code without the check engine light coming on?


Took my truck in cause it was hick-upping while driving on the freeway and every once in a while it would die while slowing down or when you were stopped at idle......technician said he pulled a code and changed the $337 part then 10 mile out it died again....3 times.....took it back and the guy test drove my truck and it died on him and he says he had the check engine light come on for him.....must have decided to work for him cause it never came on for me....EVER...so help me out fellas and or ladies......if you know about my motor i could sure use the info....
