Default 94 F250 front brake rotor replacement

Hi everyone, this is my first post and yes I did try to search the FAQ with no luck on results. My son owns a 94 F250 with manual locking hubs and I am trying to get information on replacing the front brake rotors. Specifically, he tells me that the hubs need to be removed to replace the rotors. I have not messed with manual hubs since my high school days 30+ years ago so I am a bit clueless. I work on all of my other cars and am very mechanically able to do the fix, I am just looking for some insight from the experts so I know what to expect going in. I know, by a manual and figure it out, but he is on a budget and I'm not going to buy him a FSM for his truck! Thanks to all who respond.

Are you looking for step by step instructions?

I am familiar with replacing rotors since I do that on all of my cars. I need some instruction on the removal of the locking hubs if you have to do that to replace the rotors. Any instructions on that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the reply.

1990 F250 Lariat XLT manual locking hubs
Removing the locking hub assy is easy: 10mm allen wrench
A couple snap rings, a spacer, and you are down to the race and outer bearing
From here, looks like you require heat and a special hub bearing socket
(That's what I've seen in the Natl Enquirer and You Tube)

yes u hav 2 remove the hubs ; I'm totally an apprentice w/mech. Like the other guy said snap rings u'r goin 2 need that tool 2 remove them. I went 2 autozone an bought that snap ring tool. I've never done this be4 an had no books , i thought there would be springs n what ever pop'n out at me . This did not happen : just took my time n payed attention 2 everything i was doin . 1st side much longer than the 2nd . I bought my 95 F250 bran NEW an i always try 2 do the work myself as it's hard 2 find a HONEST MECH. GOOD LUCK !!! I hope this helps.
