When I did a search for a cross over pipe for your 97 ext cab 5.7L it didn't include a 99 5.7L. So I expect it's not gonna fit as you hoped it would. But hey. with enough persistence and ingenuity anything is possible. They both have the 3 bolt mounting flange.

Being that the 99 is a 5.7 as well, can I assume that it is a 99 classic? They're pretty rare but they have the same styling and body as the GMT400 pickups (88-98). If it is indeed a classic, then I would be fairly confident that it will bolt up just fine
