I drive a 2003 Dodge Ram HEMI Sport. It's a regular cab and RWD. My best friend just got a 2003 Chevy Silverado SS for his birthday. We were cruising and decided to race each other.

Race 1

We were at a red light at an intersection and the street we had to cross was under construction and was all grated up. The light turned green and we took off, he had me immediately because I was peeling out horribly on the road we had to cross. I stayed with him however and my front bumper was even with the line between his front and back doors untill 95 when I started to catch him. At 100 I was alowly pulling on him when he let off. Even though I was catching him I finish the 1/4 at 90 so I would have lost.

Race 2

We were cruising the next night and we pulled up to a red light. He was in the right lane and I was in the left. In the turn lane next to me there was a roced out Honda with four HOT girls in it. I wanted to show off so I told my friend to race me. When the light to the cross traffic turned yellow I power-braked it to 2000 RPMs, my 3" duals were right in their face so I know I had their attention. This time there was not construction or anything, just perfect road. We took off and I had him immediately. It was almost the exaxt opposite of the first race. His front bumper was around the front of my bed until 90 when he started to pull on me.

I raced some punk kid in an Accord the other night after he would get off my back bumper. Did I mention I was in my wifes Explorer? She waved at him through the back window.

Just the other day, i was driving home(country roads), when a riced out civic pulled around me to pass. He had the fart can and everything. Anyways, he got even with me, with his pedal to the floor. I let him get a little in front, and floored it. Basically when I let up i was about a 1/4 mile ahead. we met at stop sign, and he asked how i did that. He said he was floored the whole time. I told him 5.3 with Flowmaster duels, and K&N air intake, Bye, then rosted them.

Four things make a vehicle fast: Horsepower, Weight, Traction and Driver Skill. Remember,  the SRT-10 Ram 4 door has 500 hp and runs the 1/4 in just over 15 seconds.

When driven correctly an SRT-10 is capable of 13.0 1/4 mile.  From the other forums I've read it isn't easy or comfortable to pull those times in that truck
