somethings wrong - 9/17/2005 5:14:45 PM    imcdonne   Posts: 1 Joined: 9/17/2005 Status: offline Hey guys, new to the site, my truck died yesterday on me. i was driving along, when the rpm's started going down on my truck. I would lose power for a couple of seconds, then it would accelerate again. so i pulled into the gas station and popped the hood. my k&N (fpik) filter had come of. the tie snapped i think. so i put it back on and drove home. the problem didn't go away. when i got home, i turned the truck off, then tried to turn it back on again, and no go. my question is, would bad sensors stop the truck from getting fuel? i checked the shrader valve, pushed it in, and only a drop of gas dripped out. I don't know if i should replace the gas pump and filter, or if bad sensors will keep me getting good gas pressure to start the engine Post #: 1

If that doesn't fix it, and there is no pressure from the valve, it might be the pump. You could also have a bad pressure regulator if equipped.
