Need info on difference between cranking stock torsion bar bolts vs. a leveling kit with new keys. In my mind no matter which keys are used, stock or reindexed, the torsion bar is still twisted the same to achive the desired lift. The tighter the twist on the bar the higher the lift. That being said then the tighter the twist on the bar the harder the ride. How is the factory ride retained?
Your not actually twsiting the bar any tighter. The difference is in the torsion keys... those are what will raise or lift the truck. The truck should still ride the same. A buddy of mine has used the torsion keys to lift his truck and we couldnt tell the difference with the ride.
It will stiffen the ride but not much most people don't notice the difference. Mark the adjustment bolt and count how many rotations you put on it, if you don't like the ride return it to stock and buy the lift.
