I imagine if they did it would be for nostaglia sake. Such as the HEMI in the new dodge. Barely a HEMI at all, needless to say that it really doesn't matter with fuel injection now.
They do still make engines such as the ones you talk about. They just go into Semi trailers.
That would be neat. If they are going to bring that engine back they need to really bring it back and not screw it up like Dodge with the Hemi and get some new designers. They've screwed up the GTO. They just can't compete with Ford when it comes to the classics.
