I am currently looking for a small mud riding truck, but do not have a clue as to which one is the best. I want a light truck, but I want to know that I can still get my buddies out of the mud when their big trucks get bogged down. I may look at the Jeep Wrangler, but then I would only use it for mudding. I need a vehicle to go to town in and still have plenty of fun getting it dirty. Any suggestions are welcome.

i had a jeep and it was the most fun i ever had. Jeeps are definately one of the best, but if you do not want a jeep, i recommenda F-series, or a yota

I have seen full sizes get stuck in holes that my toyota and my buddies samari dont even slow down for. the light weight of these little trucks make them unstoppable but ur not going to have much luck pulling a big truck with one

I would recommend a cherokee of some sort if you don't want an actual 'truck'.  They are more practicle for hauling people if you don't need a truck bed.  And like said above...your not gonna pull a fullsize out of the mud without a fullsize.  Depending on how stuck you might need 2 full size trucks.

My cousin not beingthe sharpest tool in the shed decided to take his powerstroke down to a mud hole and it shut off on him. My dad brought his 76 with a 304 out there and pulled him out oif the hole and then towed him around through the mud holes that they had to take to get out. Nothing beats the CJ-7, they are tanks. His had quadratrac too.

your on the right page with the wrangler. ive got a 91 yj with the inline 6. ive got 35x14.50 mudders on her and she get me through anything i put in front of her. it has a small wheel base, so high centering is normaly not a problem like it would be in an s-10, etc. in with tires like what ive got theres an extra 5 inches on both sides of the jeep, so my center of gravity is great. never even came close to tipping her. and about towing your buddies, she will get them out just fine. ive seen little yjs, tjs, etc pulling out full size hummers.
