Default 2002 Avalanche Fuel Pump?

On the way to ride some motorcross and my truck suddenly shudders and shut off. Fuel gauge now reads empty when there is fuel in it and will not start. I made the mistake of assuming it was the fuel pump, pulled the tank and put new one in. Not fixed-same problem. Bought the Fuel Pump relay and still not fixed. Fortunately that was a cheap part. I can't think of any other parts to throw at it. Any suggestions? ECU? Harness disconnected somewhere other than the pump? please help

'Fuse' as in the Circuit Breaker #8567? (I believe that was the Breaker Part number) I replaced that too. If there is another fuse, I don't know about it. The circuit breaker (or relay) that I replaced is located in the fuse box and is labeled as F/PMP. The actual name for this relay is Fuel Pressure Regulator Relay. From it's description, I was reluctant to believe that was my problem since whatever the problem is, it's not only causing the vehicle to not start but also not registering any fuel at the gauge. Where is there a fuse for the Fuel Pump besides the relay I replaced?

THE RELAY IS JUST THE GATE...THE FUSE POWERS UP THE RELAY ..

I'D HAVE TO LOOK IT UP..BUT ITS IN YOUR UNDERHOOD FUSEBOX...20 AMP..ITS EITHER SAYS FUEL PUMP,OR ECMB

That did it. Didn't check that fuse since it read "ECM" B and didn't make sense to me that it would have anything to do with the Fuel Pump. Hope it went out because my fuel pump went out...

Smile Hard Initial Starting after sitting for a while?

My 2002 5.7 Vortec has slowly started loosing fuel pressure while off. Started first from sitting overnight and progressively gotten worse, now just after sitting for 20 minutes. I need to turn on the ignition, after afew seconds the fuel gauge drops to empty, 15-20 seconds the gauge jumps to proper fuel level and the motor will start and run flawlessly. If I do not follow this procedure the motor will not start and if it does it stalls shortly untill the fuel pressure builds up. First mechanic could not find the problem, Second Mechanic replaced the fuel pump which made no improvement? I am not too excited to just throw parts at it? Can some one please send me in the proper direction?
