New truck: How serious were previous repairs ?
Hi I might pretty soon join this forum for serious discussions, right now I am still one step before the goal.
I am about to buy a Chevy Avalanche truck model 2010 LTZ 5.3L Flexfuel I am just wondering how serious previous repairs were and if I can expect based on that and your experience some serious in the near future. Chevrolet Avalanche LTZ year 2010 (purchased in Nov 2009 by first owner, driven in Calgary, AB) May 2011 Rear differential oil replace @ 40,000 miles Jun 2011 Fluid cooler hose and engine oil cooler hose replacement @ 40,000 miles Jun 2011 Differential drive pinion gear bearing replacement @ 41,600 miles Jan 2012 Shock absorber and input shaft replacement @ 53,000 miles Nov 2012 replace transmission filler tube @ 65,500 miles There are no serious damages or collisions (according to the CarProof) that might affect the condition. regularly serviced still under the factory warranties: Corrosion Limited Warranty, Emission Select Component Limited Wrty, Powertrain Limited Warranty, Special Coverage 11273 I would appreciate any tips or opinions. Thank you guys |
Doesn't look too serious
On Jun 2011 it looks like it may have had a cooler leak and burnt out a bearing. but sounds like it is all good now. It would still be a good idea to ask the seller if you could take it to your favorite mechanic to look it over. |
Thank you veru much for the answer. I missed that one by the time I got to the buying, but now I am an owner of different 2010 Chevy Avalanche :-)

I guess you have owned it for a few months now.... How has your truck been treating you?
