Long Term AFM disabler experience

I’m curious to know if anyone has any long-term 2018 duramax upgrades on AFM disablers like Range Technology. I’m contemplating installing one on my Suburban when the warranty expires and would appreciate insights into their performance on K2 trucks. Most threads seem to be from individuals who are either considering purchasing them or have had them for a very short time. However, it’s been a while now, so we should be able to gather some more extended feedback.

I have seen some posts about this.

Some people have used the Range device for a long time with no problems. One user said they used it for over a year with no issues. Another said they had it for about two years and it still worked fine.

Some people say it works as it should and keeps the truck in V8 mode.

There are also some issues reported. Some say the truck will not complete tests until the device is removed.

Others say they had warning lights or codes that went away after unplugging it.

Some say it can cause shift changes or small problems, but not for everyone.

Many people say it does not fix the main problem. It only keeps the engine in V8 mode.

From what I see, most long term use is fine, but there can be small issues. It helps reduce AFM use, but it is not a full fix.
