4 way Plug in

I got a stupid question. My buddy just got a 05 chevy colorado and it has a 4 way plug in that is mounted to the hitch on a piece of metal. The pin holes are corroded how do we clean them without having to replace them??

A very small brush and contact cleaner. But if you do not have ether you will be cheaper getting a new plug and get a cover to keep it clean. :)

I would agree. Save yourself further head aches. And give yourself piece of mind. They are cheap. Replace it with one that has a cover.

is there certain products I could put on it to keep corrosion off it. other than just pouring motor oil on it.(if thats even a good idea)

I use Electrical Contact Grease on any electrical plug or light socket I have apart. Putting it on your trailer harness plug will prevent it from corroding
