RE: radio??

I am looking to replace my audio systems as well. I am currently looking for a double din system.

If I find something I will post.

Thanks,

RE: radio??

You can go by Best Buy and pick up the GMK-420 kit along with the harness and antenna adapter. Very easy swap. Snap off the front fascia by gently prying the edges out with a panel popper of plastic wedge. The only thing is, GM does not provide a switched ignition wire for you. That pretty much goes for all 03' and up GM trucks and 01' and up car platforms. All you have to do is either go to the fuse box and find a switched fuse or solder onto the large pink, brown, or orange wire from the column harness. If you do the later, put an inline ATC 10amp fuse in for circuit protection. You might wind up losing your door chime and indicator chime. These vehicles have a databus system that everything is tied together. You can get a radio relocation harness or an integrator from www.pac-audio.com to make everything work.

RE: radio??

i have an 06 and i have done an alpine 7 in. in-dash monitor, and a set of alpine 6 1/2 in. components with 1 in. tweeters in the doors. it sounds pretty damn good. i had a local audio shop do my install. to replace the head unit, you will need a gmrc01. that is the little interface controller that will allow you to replace your factory radio. all of the bells and whistles are ran through the factory headunit, and play through the driver's side door speaker. when you wire up the interface, it will "bypass" everything.
