Reliability of the Sonoma

Hey guys, I am going to buy my first truck and I looked at the truck I want (online) and the Sonoma came up. The '98 I found has 180 hp, 4wd, 240 torque, and 73k miles on it and it costs a little less than 9k.

This seems like a pretty good deal to me, but how reliable is the Sonoma? I read some reviews that say it barely drives like a truck and it also just craps out at random times. I am really trying to find the best truck I can, so any information on this vehicle is especially welcome.

Thanks,
-Lightning

RE: Reliability of the Sonoma

I know this is an old post, but I bought my Sonoma a 99 with a 2.2 back when it had 26,000 miles, it has beensix years and 94,000miles but all that I have had to replace is the alt. because of thestereo system mostly.
