S10 Vs. Silverado
Okay, so if I get a v6 s10 and added mud tires and a lift then how well will it do in the mud compared to a chevy silverado say either a half ton or 3/4 with the same amount of lift and same tires? And with the s10 say I add big tires (I do not know specificly and it generally confuses people-Idk what they are metricly) but say like 33" tires compared to the stock (Whatever they might be) and a lift how many mpg will a 6 cylinder s10 be getting if you had to guess compared to the silverado? (Like a 03 silverado 1500 with a 6.0 v8 vortec or something) And by adding a CAI and new exhaust system can you make the S10 sound fairly good or no? Thanks, Tyler.

The S10 sound really good with an aftermarket exhaust. My Blazer has a Flowmaster 40 and it sounds really good. My Cold Air intake didn't make that much difference in the sound.
The S10 will mud better because its lighter and has a shorter wheelbase. The gas mileage will be around 15-17 with huge tires. Thats as opposed to about 13 with the Silverado. The S10 will definately have better gas mileage on stock size tires. I can get up to 25 on the highway with my Blazer if I baby it. |
lol but isint it really hard to be mudding on s10's since they are not as much made for it and to have bigger tires on them? I was told that a while back that someone thought it would be alot harder on them..?

Oh and there is a beastin ranger out where i live. It is an older ranger probably in the 80's and it is reallllyyy tall. Its got tires that are probably 45"+, and a really big lift. The floor board is taller than my head and im 5'8". I would LOVEEE to have that as a muddin truck lol.

Not at all.. There are plenty of lifts and suspension upgrades that are made for the S10.
