I have a 94 S-10 (4.3 V6) with a bad 4L60E in it. My options for transmissions for this year of truck are 93-94.
I have a transmission that I purchased from someone that was pulled from a full size 2wd truck.
There is no tag on the top of the bell housing. However. The first 4 digits of the number stamped above the trans pan on the passenger side are 38HD.
Is there any way to tell for sure what this 93 was mounted to. V6 or V8?
If it was mounted to a V8. Will the torque converter work with a V-6.
I believe that the T.C. will bolt to either V6 or V8. But will there be any stall/slipping issues using a stock V-8 T.C. with a V-6?
