Hey guys, I am a newby...I have an 01 extd cab z71.5.3L I am looking to upgrade the performance. However, I do not want to sink a lot of money into things which are not effective. Do any of you have suggestions are where/how to get the most bang for the buck?<IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0"></P>

 

Let the mighty Mouse BREATH, period... You should get the basic Free Flowing air itake, K&N, Airaid = same results. Get a GMS MAF, headers and a MagnaFlow Cat back system. You will pick up and easy 45hp just from these upgrades. It has long been, since 1955 when the mouse (small Block) was introduced, known that the greatest increases to start with were items that allowed the engine to Breath. Fact is it has been what has made the Chevy mouse the most easy to get HP out of engine ever.
