Default 02 Silverado rear end ratio??

What can I look for on the sticker in the glovebox that tells what gear ratio you have?? I believe it has a 3.73 or at least a 3.42. It's a heavenly optioned reg cab sb with a 5.3 it it skoots like no other 5.3 I've been in. So I think it has to be in the hear ratio??

I know that the rear end ratio for 3:73 is GT4 and 4:10 is GT5 so i would assume that 3:23 would be GT2 or something similar. Hope this helps

Yeah look at the G code and see what you have...

Rear Axle Ratio
GQ1 -- AXLE REAR, STD RATIO
GT4 -- AXLE REAR, 3.73 RATIO
GT5 -- AXLE REAR, 4.10 RATIO
GU4 -- AXLE REAR, 3.08 RATIO
GU5 -- AXLE REAR, 3.23 RATIO
GU6 -- AXLE REAR, 3.42 RATIO
G80 -- AXLE REAR, LIMITED SLIP (POSITRACTION)
HC4 -- AXLE REAR, 4.56 RATIO

Well that explains why it feels quick, it has the GT4 along with the G80. I did lift the back end but when I spun the tires each one went a different direction but maybe that's because it limited slip. I have hammered it and it will leave a posi mark. The tag says it has the G80 though.

Here's another thing I've never seen before. This truck has traction control, the button is where the four wheel drive switches would be. It will automatically disengage when the trans is dropped in 1st or you can depress the button and can be turned off that way as well.

Yeah my wifes Yukon has that, but I don't think I have seen it on a PU truck. Sounds like you found a good one!
