Default 05 crew cab

I have a 05 chevy crew cab z71, I hit a dear and destrored the front end, I was wondering what the price difference in changing the front to a Super Sport would be, or if that is even possible.
Thanks

Default RE: 05 crew cab

I'm gonna throw in my 2 cents since nobody has resp'd'. Having a slammer in 94' done by Traders here in Ca, I grew tired of the chipping the painted fascia left me with. I had them put back on my frnt chrome bumper and it looked bad as hell (5x7 drop, full air ride, Vortec, 245sF-305sR). Personally, I think GM was 9 yrs late getting that model out. It looks retro, which is NOT A BAD THING. On the other hand if you are good with your hands, you can do so many things to your frnt end. Chrome lower Valance w/billet insert w/w-out lights. Complete front clip with billet not only in grill but below lights where you can hide driving lights. Hell, you can put a GMC clip on if you want all that chrome or billet. You have more than just one option and since you sound creative, do something bad a$$. It's just that the SS kind of seems like it was a bunch of aftermarket parts that was available in 93' when the Craftsman Truck Series started. I am not saying they don't look good, just late. In 94', they couldn't have made enough of them for consumer demand. Your Z/71 can be updated with some very rad parts available. You might want to pick up a few custom truck mags to find what are some very exciting items available for 04-06 only Silverado’s that came out of Sema. I spoke this week with a few old friends who were at Sema last week. They told me that there is some off the hook goods that will be out in less than 60 days. I would urge you to set your sights on the 07 catalogs that will be coming out mid December for Pre-orders. I do a lot of business for my trucks/cars with "Performance Products," 800-752-6268. They will get you a current catalog in 3-5 days if you ask. Not to mention we have some good sponsors here. Look outward to maybe find what represents you; go black sheep. I can only offer one true word of advice. When you get tires and rims, go to a rep outfit that knows offsets. I run 285/75r/16s and have Zero tire outside of my wells. It just looks cleaner. With a truck like ours, any rim over 17" seems to take away from the look. Remember, your ride goes to he!! when you get past 18" rims. The Tahoe with the 20-22s has a whole different shock setup just to compensate for the beating the front end is taking with 2” sidewalls. The fact that you posted this question sends a clear message, you want to be different. Then be different and you'll never regret it. Just take your time if you can and dig in for some real nice offerings coming in just a few months.
You know you can, in the temp, get a clip from a junk yard and not even paint it, then re-sell it. Or save it for another day.
