bought some fancy headlights and the have a led DRL bar that runs across the front of headlight and they have wires sticking out back of headlight to tap into the stock wiring of the headlight harness. Trying to find out what wires to connect these too.
Check the Instructions: If your headlights came with a manual, it might show which wires to connect.
Find the DRL or Parking Light Wire: Use a test light or multimeter to find the wire in your stock harness that powers the daytime running lights (DRL) or parking lights. It will have power when those lights are on.
Connect the Wires: Match the positive wire from the LED bar to the DRL or parking light wire. Connect the negative wire to a ground point or the ground wire in the harness.
Secure Connections: Use crimp connectors or solder the wires. Wrap them with electrical tape or use heat shrink tubing to protect the connection.
If you're not sure which wire is which, check a wiring diagram for your vehicle or test each one with the test light while turning on different lights.
