Hello everyone I just recently bought an 82 C10 305 it had a 350 but the guy I bought it from but a 400 in it. He said the guy he got it from said the trans only had 6000 miles on it. Well after a couple days once I got it home it started vibrating like crazy starting @ 45 mph. He said he bought a driveshaft from someone so my question is what was the factory length driveshaft is supposed to come in these trucks, I believe the one that is in it is 73 1/4 long. I’ve done a little research and it says the vibrations which sound like they’re coming from the floorboard/ rear of the truck could be an unbalanced driveshaft or loose u-joints. Any input would be greatly appreciated as this is my first Chevrolet.
