1988 C2500 Stereo unhooked
 

the guy who sold me this truck had hacked the wiring all up when he put in a cd deck. He took the deck out when I bought it and now the radio doesnt work. when I took it out it wasnt hooked to anything, easy enough. but I tore the dash all apart and cant seem to find anywhere it plugs in. any suggestions?

On a 1988 there is a separate amplifier under the dash on the drivers side towards the middle. All the radio components plug into it. They are known to go bad.
