I was just wondering if anyone could explain what the startup requirements are for this truck (should be similar for '88-93 I believe), you know, the things the computer requires before it will "allow" fuel and spark to proceed, or anything which disables the starter from working. No,I'm not having any problems with it right now, just curious. I was reading the factory service manual, and about the only thing I noticed in passing was it looks like an oil pressure switch (indicating you have at least 4psi ofoil presure)has to trigger in order to allow the fuel pump to operate.
