Default Silverado slipping into N

2002 105,XXX

For the last few months when I take off it sounds like my u-joints are popping, and I get a slight squeal coming from under the truck at lower speeds. So I suspect I need to change them.

My service 4wd light comes on when I engage 4wd, but it seems to work fine. I put it back into 2wd the light remains until I turn the truck off, and doesnt appear again until I put it back into 4wd.

I'm in a drive thru the other day and as I try and pull out my truck wont move. Just revs. Ran it thru the gears and nothing. Put it in 4HI and pull out fine. Drove it on home in 4hi, roughly 2 miles. Still running I switched back to 2wd and its fine. I dont believe the tranny is slipping b/c I had no gears anywhere, maybe transfer case? I'm no mechanic so anything is just a guess on my part.

Same day it does it again..this time as I'm driving. Switch to 4hi on the fly as I was in traffic. Pulled into a gas station, switch back to 2wd and its fine.

This was yesterday...From my quick research, my first thought is the encoder motor. I'm taking it shortly to have the codes read and see what pops up.
I'll update when I get back.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Default

B0226,B0225,B0222
Theses I believe came up after I changed out my hubs

P0440,P0449 both these has been there since I bought the truck

So it seems like no new codes related to my problem
