1994 4.3 V6 Sierra Fuel Gauge Reading
I'm new here and this is my first 'official' post. I recently purchased my first vehicle and I chose a 1994 GMC Sierra SL 4.3 V6 with only 96k Kilometers on it.
Anyway, I've been driving my parents Dodge Caravans and am used to those. When I put $20 worth of gas in them, it goes to about half from empty/near empty. With my truck and the same level, it goes to about a quarter. What is the difference in tank sizes? The reading on my truck also drops to empty and near empty after I fill it up with $20 (fuel is about 92 cents per liter). How do I know if I'm getting an accurate reading from my fuel gauge, any gauge for that matter? Thanks in advanced. :) |
I got a 2000 sierra 1500 . It has a 21 gallon tank. I'm not sure what the truck is but a van is around 16 gallons. I'm not 100% fro sure though.
